Love's Declaration

She:
Pausing a moment, I looked into your eyes;
Hues of brown with gold specks that twinkled
When you laughed; firm lips that feasted on mine
With so much force and blistering desire.

Making a surprised discovery, I fell in love
With you, knowing you weren't looking for a
Commitment, wanting you to love me back;
Afraid to ask but knowing I had to know.

Lovemaking with you was just so beautiful;
Taking me to the top so many times;
Giving me pleasure beyond anything I ever imagined;
Wondering what you see in me, a country girl.

He:
Baby, you are just so beautiful;
Both your body and your heart;
Although it's true I did resist,
I pray we'll never be apart.

I never thought true love would come
To a man who wandered the seas,
And I was so thoroughly surprised
When you fell in love with me.

For I had been totally adrift
Mostly all of my lonely life,
And I never dared even once to dream
That true love would replace the strife.

Then one day the gray fog lifted,
And I realized my love for you;
But I never once even dared to dream
That you would love me too.
